Wedding Collection

I am not getting married (anytime soon) and this collection is about the different dresses I'm sourcing for the 5 weddings in the later half of this year. Since I am only helping out for Queen's wedding in July, I will just need to get 1 gorgeous one. For the rest, I shall make do with whatever I can find in my humble wardrobe. At most, make a trip to Joani's place and ransack both her sister's and her collection!

Last night, I started my mission with Joani as my consultant. I scoured various sites and scanned the numerous kinds of dresses and I am proud to say I found 2 designs that are quite desirable. On J's recommendation, get the designs and show it to her tailor-ess. I like the idea since it will almost be mission impossible to find a dress I like off the shelves, especially when I really need them! Proven and tested.

Alright design #1: Halter neck design with ruffles at the neckline. The empire-waist design does seem to help enlongate one's lower body, which might not be a bad idea for someone without long limbs.

Anyway I like how this dress is so flowy with a princessy feel to it. It is also very simple with not much frills to it and it embodies this subtle classiness, which really brings out the best in the person.

Of course if I have my way, I might not have the empire-waist design and definitely not this long! But overall, it is superbly pleasing to the eye. Meanwhile I shall not have my arms too buffy-looking (since I swim!!!!) otherwise I will look more gladiator-ish then glam! Kekekeke.

Design #2: I don't know how to label this design but unlike the normal toga tops, which leave one side of the shoulder bare, this covers it up with a nicely embroidered fabric and it ups the glam factor to the whole piece don't you think?

I chanced upon this piece just when I was about to call quits as I was getting real tired from the search! And I tried to imagine myself in this and I didn't puke nor shriek. Joani didn't get to see this piece but I don't think she will have much violent objections to it lah. Maybe its another of the 90s' design but I don't really care alr!

If I do go for this piece, I shall have it in either cream/beige/peach. Can't imagine this in a shade of green!

Why all the fuss since I'm not the bride???? Well well...its my dearest friend getting hitched and as one of her jie-meis, I cannot look too sloppy or normal although my normal is already quite good-looking! A good time to also splurge on classy dresses to be collected for future use!

For all my other friends out there who will be getting married soon....please do not make my life too difficult by having weird colors or designs to the dress code yah??? ITS AN EQUALLY STRESSFUL PERIOD FOR THOSE HELPING OUT OR ATTENDING!

More collections to come as I continue my mission...I can't imagine when I do get married. DIE.

The new kids on the block (maybe I end up not getting any of these designs! haha)

This emerald embellished Karen Miller is quite a winner.
Now its just whether the boutique in Singapore has it at a good price. If not I might have to purchase it online, which is always a risk! Nonetheless I see myself wearing it at least once, which is why I'm likely to buy it even though its quite steep in price.

This tailored cream/navy drape dress also caught my attention. Just like the combination of the colors and the design is pretty unique. But is it too corporatey looking??? Definitely an option too (online!)

Alright....its decision time!

Sitting down in front of the computer and listening to 'All The Earth' for the 10th time. Its Anais's off day and we have been trying to upload our pictures onto Facebook. I've got my Day 1 up but poor Ana, still trying to get hers up! Have been in Cambodia for 5 days and returning to Singapore on thursday. Previously, time seem to snail by but as I browsed through the pictures taken of the past few days, I realised that its not that slow after all. Coming to Cambodia this time was different. Was supposed to lead a team to LIA but ended up not because of lack of preparation time and inadequate response. Anyhow, I just felt I should make a personal trip up to see for myself the work at LIA and sense what God is doing in this land. Prior to the trip, I've been reading about Cambodia's news and they just appear everyday in the papers. Well it can't be more clear than this so I went. Followed Anais as she goes to and fro the b oys' & girls' home to t

Breather

Back from a Sec 3 level camp in JB, Tanjung Piai. Thought I could have the week's off to clear my brain's cache and prepare my lesson plans but alas...I'm down for ODAC camp and sec 4s' oral exam mock practice! When can I have my breather???? Sometimes I wonder whether returning to a familiar place is good for me after all. I'm like on the 'Wanted' list for this committee, that committee, this event, that event etc. Not that I'm popular or high-in-demand, its just that I'm nicely available. I'm not usually mindful of taking on responsibilities. Its just that during these 10 weeks, I reckon is a crucial component of my NIE understudy and I am not wanting to settle for something less in my planning (although i really hate lesson plannings!). But I'm so stretched! I feel like screaming: " GIVE ME MY SPACE!" To say the least, I'm feeling stressed. Most unfortunately, I'm not given the option to say 'No'. Not until I get

Eat....Laugh....Be Merry!

Anais and myself finally satisfied our craving for chilli crab...after 2 weeks! YESSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH.........:) happy happy! Together with Ben, Brian and my sis, we headed to Sembawang to indulge in some seafood delicacies that included huge cereal prawns and stingray. It was also a form of celebration for Anais who graduated not too long ago! You bet we were so stuffed after that! Anais still wanted ice-cream after the meal but we were already max. out in terms of stomach's space and capacity. Yummy food was of course the highlight but what was more memorable was the company. First time hanging out with Ben and Brian and it turned out to be a hilarious time! Good food eaten with 'happening' people makes it even more tasty. I treasured this time of fellowshipping as I got to see a different side of people and getting to know them better. More of such makan sessions is good for bonding! Singaporean leh..:) From left: Ben, Jasmine (sis), me, Anais and Brian Happy we went, tota
