Tired. Exhausted. Sick

Exhausted x infinity! That's the state I'm in. Seriously....I am about to drag my limbs wherever I go. And I hope my sore throat does not evolve to something else. Must be the ridiculous weather. I'm feeling both hot and cold at the same time. Time to take MC????????? Hoohohohohoho.......... Wow I'm really fighting the fatigue in me. Just 1 more week to this madness and I can just be still and chill- for the time being. Feeling quite lousy but there's still the NAPFA test this afternoon. Oh greats!

Doses of happiness

Presenting my newest toy: THE BLACKBERRY (CURVE) - 8520 series. Not the latest in town but it was still a good deal (I think!). Considering that I have been owning $0 phones for the last 8 years or so. Time for a little pampering don't you think? A few asked why BB and not I-phone. I answered: "Why not?" Hehehe....BB is usually more for the businessman/woman etc but I like its sophistication and it has THE X-FACTOR! Anyways, I'm loving it! And I am sophisticated!!!!! Muah hahahha No.2 thing that made me happy is my impending trip to Taiwan in june. Squeezed in a 5-days trip during the 1 week break. Just booked myself a ticket this morning. Short trip but better than nothing. Am glad for all these little things that can give me something to look forward to!

Fast Break

A concept in invasion games like basketball and handball. But I meant it to be more literal...gimme the BREAK FAST!!!! :) It happens whenever there is a transition for me. Once I am in a certain routine, there's always a fierce resistance at the start and it lasts for a while. And this resistance usually manifest in grumpiness, grouchiness and reluctance to talk much. I know it when I need to have my breakkie. The engine has slowed down and I just wanna relax. All of a sudden I remembered my short stay in Adelaide...the slowness and chill-lax-ness. It did good for me and I hope to be in that state soon. The weekend is fast over. Another week (of responsibilities) beckons.

Osim Triathlon 2010

My first attempt but surely won't be my last. I swam (1.5km), I cycled (40km) and I ran (10km). I conquered a total distance of 51.5km. A remarkable feat for a noob at an international race. Check out the muscles forming at the calves!!!! During my last leg of the race i.e. the run segment, my left thigh cramped and I thought it was the end for me. God must have knew my deep deep desire to complete the race and suddenly my colleague appeared on his blades and he paced me till the end. Ok...I could not run as fast as his blades carried him but I did not stopped to walk and the amazing part was...THE CRAMP CEASED. What a race! Let me boast a bit more with my results: Pos. Name Swim Rank(S) Bike Rank(B) Run Rank(R) Total Rank 10 TAN YAN YAN GRACE 00:37:28 5 01:39:31 12 01:12:59 9 03:29:56 10 The feeling is just shiok shiok shiok! Till today, I stil

Peace and Calm

Rocks! The madness is somewhat over. What else...but the observations! One more next week but I'm already taking things pretty easy. Complacent? No....rather I'm tired. I am now just glad that I have my breathing space. It really feels good to have such a heavy load off my brain. Well well....I'm satisfied with my performance and progress. Never was I aiming for the high-D (although Joani claims I have low ambition) because I don't see the point to. I know my abilities are being observed and appreciated greatly without me having to score well on the performance sheet. And I am NOT IN THE LEAST BOTHERED TO IMPRESS ANYONE ANYMORE! There were good days and there were bad days but overall, I will give myself a fat A for a job well done. I personally think I have exceeded the expectations of a trainee teacher on practicum. Not going to list the things I have done or about to do. Let bygones be bygones ...kekekek. Today marks the last observation for EL and I got my class to

The human in me

I know its not really me to say this but I didn't realise I actually can miss shopping! Thanks to the Good Friday long weekend (which has ended...sigh), I managed to steal a breather and regain some of my human-ness. On Friday, I met up with Jo for her belated birthday treat at PS cafe. Thereafter, I hopped over to Novena Sq to check out the New Balance outlet for shoes. My favourite pair of adidas is pretty worn out with a little hole at the side so my right pinkie of a toe just peeks out of nowhere. Rather unglam so I thought getting a new pair is of no harm. Besides, I'm entitled to a cool 40% of any purchase at NB. Who can reject such a deal???!!! I most immediately took a liking to this pair of shoes. Checked the price and it was a reasonable $115. With my 40% discount, I got it at a whooping $69!!! So I threw in 2 more pairs of socks and in total I spend $79! VALUE FOR MONEY!. 3 items for a grand total, which is less than the original retail price of the shoes. You bet I

Dream dream dream...

These days I sleep real soundly the moment my head touches the pillow. But I will wake up not in a sound and pleasant way! Just this morning, I was woken up by a dream which had English lesson plans! Last week, prior to the coming of my Supervisor, my awakening dream was about my makeshift goal-posts and positioning of the cones for my set-up for PE lessons! DRAMA -MAMA. Sign of stress? I highly think so.....but not to the point of going berserk although sometimes its hard to tell if I'm really bonkus or not (with or without stress!). OH...talking about the makeshift goal-posts! They must be seriously the best invention any student has seen in this school boy. That reminds me...I should take a few shots of it and post it up for the viewing pleasure of many. Come on....I had students yesterday (the first of the many I took in this week...INGRATES!) telling me it was so creative and smart! *wink wink* Hmm...yah they won the heart of my Supervisor too. IT BETTER MAN! Actually I did no
