Edith and Candy's 25th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EDITH AND CANDY....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

They turned 25 in Aug and September respectively and it is our tradition to celebrate each other's birthday every year. So far, we have been keeping to it faithfully. In fact, we have been told that our batch is the one batch that has been successful in meeting up regularly; at least 3 times a year!! Kudos to the magnificent 7 of The Outdoor Adventure Club of Temasek Junior College :)

We are a cool bunch of people. A mixture of philosophical, emo, logical, blur blur and whacky individuals in this group. The 7 of us really went through fire and rain to run the club well when we took over the baton from our seniors. The 2 years that we had together were superbly memorable and I always felt that if not for this bunch of people who stuck through with me, my 2 years in JC would have been rather 'empty'. Hehe thanks a million guys and gals for making my memories of JC life a wonderful and unforgettable one!

I shall introduce the Magnificent 7 (1 is away frolicking in Hawaii by himself, soaking in the beach, sun and sight of hot babes! He is none other than our Chief - Yeo Yongquan).

Gals (from left clockwise): Chien Fang, Candy, Edith, Grace

Guys: Mervin, Vincent (absent: Yongquan)

Mervin is the philosophical ONE in the group. A thinker and forever sprouting chim chim stuff! Haha..but he has his quirky moments. Interesting fella!

Vincent, he is the unmatchable BLUR KING! Since we knew him till today, he has this perpetually blur look on his face. But at times, he really surpass our expectations and can be really alert! :) Eh he was the Sea Specialist ok! Don't play play hor

Chien Fang was our Asst Sea Spec. She also quite blur blur one ...but a cool babe. Very steady and reliable. Can never go wrong when she's being entrusted with a task

Candy - our Campcraft specialist. The one who teaches the juniors how to tie a particular structure , knots etc. Petite but a fiesty and dynamic gal. Don't mess with her!

Edith - the QM. Very fierce ok. Don't be deceived by her demure and lady-like looks! She's quite 'chor-lor' at times. But that's in the past lah. Now, she's evolved into a mature and lady like beauty! Yongquan will surely disagree with me but since he's not ard, no opposing views for now.

SPECIAL MENTIONS - JUST FOR YONGQUAN :)

To our dearest Chief Instructor, YongQuan. Your presence is dearly missed this evening. We know you are having lots of fun in Hawaii and we have not forgotten about you. We missed you most when we could not finish our food and we thought of how you could be of much help!

Haha..just kidding. This is a toast from us to you and we look forward to a reunion of the Magnificent 7 come year end :)

Even the cake, we chose to leave the biggest slice for you! We toyed with the idea of leaving it in Candy's lab's fridge but we realised its meant only for bacteria! So...errrr...guess not then :)

Hehe...the size of the cake is fairly representative of how BIG a role you play in this team!

Sitting down in front of the computer and listening to 'All The Earth' for the 10th time. Its Anais's off day and we have been trying to upload our pictures onto Facebook. I've got my Day 1 up but poor Ana, still trying to get hers up! Have been in Cambodia for 5 days and returning to Singapore on thursday. Previously, time seem to snail by but as I browsed through the pictures taken of the past few days, I realised that its not that slow after all. Coming to Cambodia this time was different. Was supposed to lead a team to LIA but ended up not because of lack of preparation time and inadequate response. Anyhow, I just felt I should make a personal trip up to see for myself the work at LIA and sense what God is doing in this land. Prior to the trip, I've been reading about Cambodia's news and they just appear everyday in the papers. Well it can't be more clear than this so I went. Followed Anais as she goes to and fro the b oys' & girls' home to t

Back from a Sec 3 level camp in JB, Tanjung Piai. Thought I could have the week's off to clear my brain's cache and prepare my lesson plans but alas...I'm down for ODAC camp and sec 4s' oral exam mock practice! When can I have my breather???? Sometimes I wonder whether returning to a familiar place is good for me after all. I'm like on the 'Wanted' list for this committee, that committee, this event, that event etc. Not that I'm popular or high-in-demand, its just that I'm nicely available. I'm not usually mindful of taking on responsibilities. Its just that during these 10 weeks, I reckon is a crucial component of my NIE understudy and I am not wanting to settle for something less in my planning (although i really hate lesson plannings!). But I'm so stretched! I feel like screaming: " GIVE ME MY SPACE!" To say the least, I'm feeling stressed. Most unfortunately, I'm not given the option to say 'No'. Not until I get

Eat....Laugh....Be Merry!

Anais and myself finally satisfied our craving for chilli crab...after 2 weeks! YESSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH.........:) happy happy! Together with Ben, Brian and my sis, we headed to Sembawang to indulge in some seafood delicacies that included huge cereal prawns and stingray. It was also a form of celebration for Anais who graduated not too long ago! You bet we were so stuffed after that! Anais still wanted ice-cream after the meal but we were already max. out in terms of stomach's space and capacity. Yummy food was of course the highlight but what was more memorable was the company. First time hanging out with Ben and Brian and it turned out to be a hilarious time! Good food eaten with 'happening' people makes it even more tasty. I treasured this time of fellowshipping as I got to see a different side of people and getting to know them better. More of such makan sessions is good for bonding!
