Blooming Beauties. The ladies in my life.

These pretties are women in my life who have impacted me in one way or another. Of course there are more but I'll just name a few for now. I thank God for each of them as they have taught me much through their beautiful lives. These friendships I have with them will always be etched in my memory forever. Thank you gals for allowing me to be part of your lives :)

Joyce and me.

Other than on Sundays, we seldom meet up but we can still hit it off quite well. She's a really cool babe. Gorgeous on the inside and out. She has such a sweet spirit that is so alluring. :)

Nicole (Nikki Baby) and me.

Her 23rd birthday yesterday. Nic is such a sophisticated lady. She is training to be a lawyer. She wasn't like that when I first met her. Very tom-boyish. But she slowly blossomed into this classy and dignified lady. Sometimes when I think back and recall how she looked like, I asked myself this question "is this really Nic???" haha. It is tremendous to see how much she has grown as a person! My privilege to have her as a friend and sister.

Anais (Singapore's Gong Li) - as commented by some other guys! You think so?

Sexy, hippy, shopping queen and MAHJONG QUEEN!
Dont' be decieved by her demure and stylish looks! She is really fiesty and fierce if she wants to. You should see her during Captain's Ball matches. So fierce! Her passes are deadly. It can kill, I think. A lot of guys esp. Chao fears her during games coz they don't want to be a situation whereby the ball can smash their faces real hard. Haha..on a lighter but serious note. She's fierce for Jesus! Her passion is evident and her radical-ness is superbly cool! She rocks!

Sharon, Jasmine Sia and me.

Sharon : My running & going home buddy! Hehe sounds so functional right but she's more than that. She's an example for me. Her gentleness, simplicity and meek spirit makes her a shining beauty. When I think of a dignified and respectable Princess, Sharon comes to mind. Love you sis :)

Jasmine : You won't believe it but she's 3 years my junior. Hard to tell yah. Her maturity defies her age. I knew her since young and she has been this consistent. She's very very steady and calm. To me, she's a stabilizing factor in anywhere she is. One of the forerunners to blaze the trail in her generation.

Joanne Chan, Queenie & At. Siong Hung

Jo - the baby of the group (only in this pic). Hehe one of my fav.makan buddies together with Ah Sia. She's driven, hardworking, determined to always give her 100% in all that she does. She loves missions and just roughing it out in rugged places. My back-packing kaki also :) But she has her quirks lah....burping loudly and hmmm going to toilet after meals almost quite immediately (big business :) ). I stil love her! She makes me laugh.

Queenie : Wow. What can I say? She's just special and unique. More than just a friend, she's my confidante. I know with her, I can be so myself and the freedom she has as a child of God is so infectious! I am most comfortable with her. We eat much, talk much, hang out much and haha..our friendship will go a long long way. Oh..she loves talking to soft toys too! *Yuki is her favourite.

(*Psssttt: Yuki is just a tiny soft toy lamb which i enjoy squashing! :))

At. Siong Hung : She's my Sunday School teacher when I was like in Sec 1! Haha...we sure have a long history man! Hehe...but she still looks the same. Seriously. Never age much. Always this youthful and funky. My inspiration. Oh...she was a social worker too! Dynamically powerful woman. Very astute and can count on her to be so frank with you. She brings out the best in me. :)

Lynn Ong ('Lollipop')

She may be young but a tough cookie. She has had many trying experiences in her life that hasve shaped who she is today. A never-say-die warrior! Can always count on her to chiong with you in a battle! She's garang, loves to pick up cockroaches and other weird creatures! Gosh! Her child-likeness is what makes her beautiful. I've seen her grown up but that innoncence is still being preserved. She's a gift to me and many.

Wo(Man) of the hour

As I read the tribute to the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, I can't help but feel this profoundly deep admiration for this immensely brilliant forefather of Singapore. I was in awe of his contributions and how his influence is so pervasive in modern Singapore, yet so few actually heard and know of his legacy. The more I read on about what people remembered of him and his long list of accolades, the more proud I am to be a Singaporean. I never knew places of interests like our zoo, bird park and even Sentosa were his ideas! These are just a tiny fraction of his contributions. My gosh....it was just an incredible discovery and I was hooked to the Saturday's Special edition on 'Remember Dr Goh Keng Swee'. Strangely, my heart was pounding as I read and later reflected on this titan's life. Instinctively, a question came to mind i.e. will there be another titan like Dr Goh, Mr Lee KY, Mr Wee Kim Wee or the other members of the Old Guard in my generation? Will I get to see one em...

Day 3 & 4 - Halong Bay

HALONG BAY Cat Ba Island (2 days, 1 night) After 1 day of exploration of Hanoi city, we headed for Halong Bay via the junkboat. Our destination was on Cat Ba Island where we stayed for the night. It was also there that we ventured onto 'Monkey' Island - not to be deceived; there was only 4 monkeys sighted. The exhilirating part of this journey was the motorbike ride to the ferry terminal to board the boat to 'Monkey' Island. Felt like I was part of a short scene of a James Bond movie (pillion with Pierce Brosnan!). Will never forget the cold draft blowing against my face and just riding up and down the slopes! Cat Ba Island is a very quiet & tranquail place. Little activity especially at night. Wanted to catch the morning activities at the fishing wharf opposite our hotel but could not wake up in time. Nonetheless, managed to capture some snippets of what goes on at the bay. Waiting patiently to board the boat. Snapped this on board the boat. Not a vietnamese but fe...
